Maken designed the outdoor wood structures and wood deck for the residential/retail project, The 704, adjacent to The Broken Spoke on South Lamar. The wood deck whilch serves as the outdoor patio space for a restaurant was constructed around a cluster of protected oak trees. In order to minimize the impact of the tree's root structure, premanufactured "Diamond Pier" footings were specified and installed.
